The congress, organised by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Leipzig University, the veterinary chambers of the federal states of Berlin, Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia and Leipziger Messe, offers a comprehensive platform for veterinary-specific and interdisciplinary topics.

As the leading trade fair for veterinary medicine, vetexpo covers all areas of the veterinary profession, from medical technology and pharmaceuticals to practice equipment and supplies.

The 12th Leipzig Veterinary Congress, held from January 18th to 20th, 2024, ended with an impressive record result. Despite poor weather conditions, snow, and ice, 6,900 veterinarians from all over the German-speaking world and 500 speakers flocked to the Leipzig trade fair centre. The event included three days of intensive training, exciting discussions, and product presentations.

The participants were impressed by the extensive and high-quality congress programme.

Vetexpo, the largest of its kind in Central Europe with 329 exhibitors, once again proved to be an important platform. Veterinarians attended the trade fair to gain new inspiration for their everyday work. The variety of innovations, trends, products, and services for veterinary treatment positions the trade fair as an indispensable source of information.
